You have reached this page because you would like to find out more about me. So, have a cup of coffee and read on!
Who am I?
I am Sarah Lam, a 29-year old virtual assistant who started out as a freelance writer back in 2008. I love to write, read and blog. My addiction? Social networks! I also love ice cream, dark chocolate and honey.
When did I start freelancing?
Back in 2008, I was a freelance writer, writing articles and blog posts for companies based in UK, Sweden and Australia. It was tough because I was paid around USD$2-3 per article (about 500 words). My monthly income wasn’t enough to cover my expenses.
In 2009, my career took a turn, and I started to market myself as a virtual assistant. From 2009 to 2015, I have been a virtual assistant, working for Eatability Pty. Ltd. (until it ended in June 2015). It was awesome experience!

What does it feel like working from home?
Awesome! Pure awesomeness but there are pros and cons, so it depends on individuals. For me, working from home is a total bliss because I am more towards being an introvert. I love working with people but not in the same office. I love to work without having a boss in the same office, watching my back. I love the flexibility to wear basically anything I want. I love it when I don’t get stuck in traffic jam to get to work (I basically just need to walk 5 steps into my home office, from my bedroom!).
What tools or software do I use for work?
- Google Drive
- Google Calendar
My favourite tools or software?
So many! I love all the tools I use every day, but if I have to choose just one, I would say Google and everything that’s from Google!
